Bay State Bike Week Family and Community Bike Ride

Walk Bike Worcester and Seven Hills Wheelmen invite you to celebrate Bay State Bike Week by riding in-town with us on a quiet Sunday morning.  We’ll have a ride for children and families on the Blackstone Bikeway as well as a longer ride through Worcester.

Both rides start at the Blackstone Bikeway parking area at 14near the intersection of Millbury St. and Cliff St.  in Worcester. (Click link for map.)   The lot is just south of this intersection (away from town.)

Pre-ride coffee, juice and refreshments will be served!

The Family Ride will be 3 – 5 miles along the Blackstone Bikeway. We’ll have bike bells and hopefully some other goodies for the kids. (All riders should wear helmets and Children should be accompanied by parent or guardian.)

Longer Ride – There will also be a longer (14 mi.) ride through the city for more experienced riders.  The route will follow the current and planned route of the Blackstone Bikeway to downtown Worcester, then down Main Street to Mill Street before looping back through the city to rejoin the bikeway.  Traffic should be relatively light, but riders should be comfortable riding in city traffic.

For more information or to volunteer, see the Walk Bike Worcester facebook page or email ride leader Kes Roberts.
