We are challenging Bay State residents to collectively cycle more
than 50,000 miles between May 12th-18th. To participate,
sign up and tell us how many miles you will ride.

Corporate Teams
As part of the 50,000 mile Commuter Challenge, institutions and
companies can enter a friendly-competition to see which does
the best job commuting by bike. Matched against like-sized
businesses, companies with the highest percentage of employees
commuting at least once between May 12th-18th earn prizes
and bragging rights. All corporate registrants are entered
into a drawing for a NEW Fuji Commuter Bike (more information coming soon) and are invited to
join us for the annual Bike Bash.
** In order to be entered as corporate team BOTH the employer
and employee must register. **
Commuters - make sure your employer
signs up!

Flat Top Johnny's
One Kendall Square, Cambridge (near the Kendall Cinema - click here a map)
Join us for a fun-filled evening at Flat Top Johnny's in Cambridge, as we recognize the employers who have won the 50,000 Mile Commuter Challenge, and celebrate the success of the first Bay State Bike Week. Free food and pool, and a cash bar will be available. In addition, all attendees will be entered into a raffle to win fabulous prize bags from local bike shops. At the end of the evening, we will also select our Grand Prize winner.
This year's Commuter Challenge Grand Prize --a Fuji Touring bike-- has generously been donated by our friends at Advanced Sports Inc. (ASI) --Fuji's parent company-- and Cambridge Bicycle. A big thanks goes out to New England ASI representative, Mark McCormack and Cambridge Bicycle owner Kip Chinian for helping to make this happen!
What we love best about the Fuji Touring model is its commuter-minded features -- a standard rear-mounted rack, upright brake levers, ergonomically designed saddle, and 27-speed gearing-- which easily accommodate everything from trips to work, errands or even a South Shore beach trip on the MBTA bicycle train!
As a company, ASI is dedicated to playing its roll in the fight against today's environmental issues; with their business being the bicycle, transportation and how we get from point A to point B is always on their mind. ASI and Fuji are committed to creating an refining products such as the Fuji touring bike that make bicycle commuting comfortable, convenient and fun!
The Bay State Bike Week team is proud to stand behind Fuji for their continued commitment to helping every day cyclist make smart commuting choices!

Cambridge Annual Spring Bike Tour:"Trails, Sails, Rails and Wheels - Cambridge Transportation History"
| Starts At: Cambridge Common (Harvard Square) |
Saturday May 17th, 10:15 AM |
Join the Cambridge Bicycle Committee for a leisurely ride through the streets of Cambridge as part of the city's annual GoGreen Month activities. The theme of this spring's bike tour is transportation history in Cambridge from pre-colonial times to the present (and maybe a glimpse of the future).
We start at the Cambridge Common for a ride just over 11 miles long. The ride should take a little more than two hours, and will include several intermediate stops for short theme-related talks. We'll end up at the brand new North Point park for a snack. After that, we'll lead those interested back to the starting point at the Cambridge Common (another 2.5 miles).
The ride will be escorted by the Cambridge Police Department's Bike Patrol.
